Job Description:
Key areas of responsibility: Is responsible for the following functions : 1. House keeping 2. Security Main Job Tasks: FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES • To ensure expense lines of Support Service ( Housekeeping & Security ) are within the forecasted budget CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES • To take appropriate measures to prevent patient complaints. • To undertake a quick response time to all patient complaints • Ensure proactive communication with all consultants to resolve related issues, if any. PROCESSS RESPONSIBILITIES • Responsible to assist the Support Service Manager for the smooth operations of Housekeeping and Security and responsible for the areas in the absence of the Support Service Manager • Ensure maintenance of quality hygiene standards and cleanliness of the unit. • Ensure implementation of the written manuals for Housekeeping & Security. • Ensure that systematic process of shift handovers and shift responsibilities are introduced • Conduct quality audit for Biomedical waste Management and Pest control • Ensure the Implementation of Infection control recommendations for waste disposal and to ensure that the HK protocols are in line with infection control recommendations. • Ensure that the Periodic Preventive Maintenance schedule for all Housekeeping equipment is in place. • Ensure that a system to track the daily maintenance work orders is in place. • Ensure that MIS related to customers are generated and a tracking system is in place for early resolution of complaints. • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards for NABH • Ensure evacuation plan procedures are in place in conjunction with facility department and to ensure Fire Safety training /fire evacuations drills are conducted periodically. People Responsibilities Take responsibility for all Support Service contractual staff who report to the position. Provides on job orientation to Support Service contractual staff and keeps them informed of the philosophies, policies, and procedures to be followed. Facilitate in-service and/or continuing education for the Support Service contractual staff. Evaluates the work performance of the contractual staff. Counsels contractual staff on personal and work problems. Plans staff work assignments and schedules. Ensure participation in REDS activities.
Experience: 4-6 years


Masters in Business Administration /Masters in Hotel Management / Masters in Hospital Administration.

Diploma in facilities management or any relevant qualification.

Professional experience:

4-6  years of experience in a service sector 

Preferably from IT or ITES industry or hotel industry with experience in facility management.
